THERE IS RELATION BETWEEN CHANGES IN PSYCHONEUROIMMUNOLOGY SYSTEM AND DEVELOPMENT OF BREAST CANCER?

Introduction: Breast cancer is a neoplasia that nowadays on of the biggest challenges to public health in Brazil, which has the highest number of occurrences. It is the second leading cause of death among women and demand the realization of actions with varying degrees of complexity.It is believed that among the various factors that induce the formation of breast cancer, severe changes in the psychoneuroimmunology system may also influence the immune system to the malformation of the developing cell generating a neoplasia. Literature review: The causes of cancer are multifactorial, including genetic predisposition, environmental factors and emotional factors, although this latter is not yet scientifically proven.However, with respect to internal factors involved in the alteration of immune status, and genetic mutations, include personality traits and emotional state such as stress and depression. Experts in the field os health say the emocional facts are not the only for the development the disease, but gains strength in the presence of other factors. An example of this emotional factor in people's lives. especialy in today is stress, recognized for its immunosuppresive effects and potentially relevant to the malignate neoplasis genesis.Numerous researchers have studied possible effects of emotional states in hormonal modification and alteration of the immune system. The relation between stress and depression combined with the weakening of the immune system, promote the development of tumor formations. Conclusion: Literature reports show that the emotional factor contributes to the development of breast cancer, but is still scarce data in the scientific literature on the subject.
